Back to School...why do students drop out?

"Students leave school for many different reasons. Alberta research has shown these factors can include the availability of low-skill work, school size, special needs, lone parenthood and frequent family moves. Given all this, it makes sense for provinces to provide many different ways back to school."

If school size leads to increased drop out rates, why are board across the province, particularly the SRSB, continuing to close our community schools?  Right it's about the money...but even the SRSB Director of Finance agrees, "it's not a lot of money." (see previous news posting)
