Celebrating 75th Education Week in NS

posted Apr 20, 2010, 4:59 AM by Concerned Parents   [ updated Apr 20, 2010, 6:49 AM ]
In our efforts to Save Community Schools, our issues and concerns with the administration of our education system, with respect to school board financial management and school closures, may cause us to forget the real reason we are so passionate about this cause - the education of our children, the students of NS.

So, Save Community Schools asks that you please take some time this week, April 18-24, 2010, to thank a teacher, bus driver, administrator, other support staff, and volunteers who contribute to the successful education of students, our children and our future, throughout the province of NS.

Special congratulations to SRSB Member Clarence Reddick, who was recognized with an Education Week Award for the NS School Board Association!

Mr. Reddick, thank you for your contribution to the lighting of fires throughout the Strait Regional School Board, because "education is not filling a bucket, but lighting a fire.” - William Butler Yeats
